How to Get Your Second Opinion
There are two ways to have one of Canada's fellowship-trained radiologists take a second look at your imaging. Choose the one that fits you.
Option 1 · Covered by OHIP
With a doctor's referral
No charge for Ontario residents with a valid OHIP card and a doctor's referral. The written report goes to your referring doctor.
Step 1: Ask your doctor for a referral to Radiology Experts
Ask at your next appointment, or call your doctor's office and ask them to refer you to Radiology Experts.
Step 2: Your doctor completes our short referral form
It only takes a few minutes. Share the link below with your doctor's office.
Step 3: We do the rest
A fellowship-trained radiologist reviews your imaging, and the written report goes back to your doctor to discuss with you.
The referral must come directly from your doctor's office — share this form with them, or they can fax us a referral at (416) 391-6221.
Option 2 · $600 · Not covered by OHIP
Private second opinion — no referral needed
- Go straight to our request form — no doctor's referral required.
- The fee is $600. This is an uninsured service — it is not covered by OHIP.
- Your radiologist answers one question about your imaging.
- The written report is sent directly to you.
What we review: X-ray, ultrasound, CT, and MRI only. We do not review PET, nuclear medicine, or breast imaging.
